I AM Kids®

Integrated Activities & Movement for Kids

I AM Kids® is an integrated activities and movement skills programme designed to develop and enhance children’s cognitive executive functions, English language, movement skills, co-ordination, and fitness through fun activities and games. The curriculum is designed to integrate the learning of language with physical activities and movement skills through systematic instructional learning and positive communication techniques. Pre-school children are provided with the necessary guidance for both physical and language development and learning.

The I AM Kids® curriculum was craftfully designed to increase and enhance children's vocabulary and grammar of the English language and motor skills development simultaneously. Children learn, grow, develop, and interact through physical activities and play. The movements involved in physical activities and play are mediums through which children experience and explore the many dimensions of their environment

I AM Kids® will engage the children in specially designed physical activities and movements to assist them in acquiring effective social skills, life-long skills for daily living, and cognitive processing skills to set the foundations for more complex integration of senses that are necessary for academic skills like reading, writing, and good behavior. The programme will also enhance the children's command of the English language.

The programme assists children to develop:

•  Setting of goals
•  Maintain focus and attention
•  Movement skills
•  Co-ordination and fitness

I AM Kids® curriculum is currently offered to pre-schools through two options:

1. I AM Kids® Licensing Programme

o Pre-schools will be licensed and provided with the I AM Kids curriculum;
o Updates on curriculum every 2-3 years;
o Teachers will be trained and certified to conduct the I AM Kids curriculum;
o Assistance will be provided for programme set up at the pre-school; and
o Continuous programme consultation.

2. I AM Kids® Enrichment Programme

o I AM Kids® certified staff will be made available to conduct the programme curriculum;
o The curriculum will be conducted at least once a week at the school’s premises;
o Each session lasts for approximately 50mins; and
o Equipment necessary for the conduct of the programme will be made available to the children.
